Hans Hermann Voss

Hans Hermann Voss (born October 3, 1926 in Bochum ; † July 31, 2006 in Wipperfürth ) was an entrepreneur in the city of Wipperfürth.

Life

Hans Hermann Voss was born in Bochum as the first child of Hermann and Emmi Voss. A few years later his sister Erika was born. From 1933 to 1943 he went to school in Wuppertal before he was drafted into military service in the last two years of the war and served as an air force helper. In 1946 he was able to catch up on his Abitur. From 1948 to 1953 he studied mechanical engineering at the Technical University in Stuttgart . Since 1957 he was married (Christa).

Voss joined his father Hermann Voss' company as an engineer in 1953 and continued the work. He laid the foundation stone for the Voss Group, which today operates worldwide, with 2,200 employees. The VOSS Holding Group is now divided into the VOSS Automotive , VOSS Fluid and VOSS Immobilien + Service GmbH + Co. KG divisions . Voss attached great importance to a good social working atmosphere. For this, the company received an award in 2005.

Hans Hermann Voss Foundation

Out of their social commitment, the married couple Hans Hermann and Christa Voss founded the Hans Hermann Voss Foundation in 1992 and made it the heiress of the shares and assets.

Awards

Voss was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon for his services , which he received in a small group. The current managing director of the company, Heinrich Holtmann , described his predecessor as an innovation freak . His drive has always been to develop new and improved products.
