Hermann Weber (lawyer)

Hermann Weber (born November 10, 1936 in Münster ) is a German lawyer.

Life

Weber is the son of the Tübingen entomologist Hermann Weber (1899–1956). He began to study law at the Eberhard Karls University in Tübingen and the Johann Wolfgang Goethe University in Frankfurt am Main . In 1955 he became active in the Corps Saxonia Leipzig in Frankfurt . He moved to the University of Hamburg and returned to Tübingen, where he passed the first state examination in law in 1959. In 1964 he passed the assessor examination in Stuttgart . With a doctorate in Otto Bachof he was in 1965 by the University of Tübingen Dr. iur. PhD . In his dissertation he dealt with religious communities as corporations under public law . The work was published by CH Beck .

In 1966 he became the full-time editor of the Legal Training Course (JuS). He was admitted to the bar and represented the Jehovah's Witnesses in proceedings for corporate status before the Federal Constitutional Court . From 1971 he was editor of the JuS series and from April 1, 1974 editor of the Neue Juristische Wochenschrift . He was a lecturer at the Philipps University of Marburg (1973) and the University of Frankfurt (1975), which in 1984 appointed him honorary professor for public law , especially tax law . Areas of work are also state law , constitutional law and canon law . When he reached the age limit , he retired in 2001.

Weber is a member of the FDP .
