Hermann Zotenberg

Hermann Zotenberg (born January 26, 1836 in Prausnitz , Province of Silesia , † July 2, 1909 in Antibes ) was a French orientalist and Arabist .

Life

Hermann Zotenberg worked at the National Library in Paris. His translation of the Chronicle of Tabari into French ( Chronique de Tabari , Paris 1867–1871) is famous . In 1891 he was accepted as a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences in Saint Petersburg .
