Hermann von Graes

Hermann von Graes (* 1385 ; † in the 15th century) was canon of Münster and Osnabrück .

Life

Hermann von Graes was born the son of Ortwin von Graes and his wife Jutta. He was already on 27 July 1396 at the age of eleven years, a papal commitment to a Osnabrücker Dompräbende . Two years later, the Pope confirmed his promise. Hermann is mentioned in a document on July 24, 1419 as the canon of Münster and Osnabrück. He owned the Archdeaconate of Billerbeck and received permission from the Pope to keep incompatible benefices for a period of five years. His brother Goswin was canon in Münster from 1425 to 1442.
