The Kianida reef ( Bulgarian риф Кианида rif Kianida ) is an east-west orientation 350 m long, maximum 140 m wide and 4 hectares large reef in the archipelago of the South Shetland Islands . It is located 440 m southwest of Radev Point , 1.65 km west-southwest of Astor Island and 3.5 km north-northwest of Devils Point on Livingston Island in Osogovo Bay off the southeastern extension of Rugged Island .
The Bulgarian Commission for Antarctic Geographical Names named it in 2020 after the phantom island Kianida ( synonym Cianeis ) off the Bulgarian Black Sea coast , which is recorded on a map by the cosmographer Donnus Nicolaus Germanus from 1467.
