Hermann von Lüchow

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hermann von Lüchow (also Hermann von Luchow ; † after 1333 ) was a scribe and protonotary in the Mark Brandenburg .

Life

Hermann was the scribe of numerous documents from Margrave Waldemar since 1310 . In 1319 he was named canon in Lebus . After Margrave Waldemar's death, Hermann von Lüchow worked for his widow Agnes from 1320 to 1322.

From 1324 Hermann was a scribe for the new Margrave Ludwig . In 1327 the latter issued an order to the councils of Berlin and Cölln to arrest Hermann because he had abused a seal. In 1329 Hermann became protonotary for Ludwig. He was mentioned for the last time in 1333.

It is questionable whether he is identical to a Hermann von Lüchow in 1348.
