Hermon (Jerusalem)
Hermon (also: Hermas ; † around 314) was Bishop of Jerusalem at the beginning of the 4th century.
Hermon was the successor of Zabdas , the beginning of his term of office is usually dated in the year 300, next to it there is also the indication 283. According to legend he should send Ephrem and Basilios, later also Eugenios, Agathodoros, Kapiton and Elpidios to Cherson for missionary work who would have suffered martyrdom there. Little is known historically about Hermon's administration. His year of death is around 314, possibly already 312 or 313.
