Heron, or sometimes Hero, is a small impact crater on the back of Earth's moon , less than 20 kilometers from the lunar equator. It is located directly east of the Ctesibius crater and forms a pair of craters with it. Almost due to the north is King Crater .
Heron is an inconspicuous, circular formation with a relatively flat and unmarked crater floor. At the eastern edge, a tiny mini crater is noticeable due to its slightly higher albedo compared to the rest of the crater .
