Heron Publishing Company

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Heron Publishing mbH , headquartered in Erfurt was a front company of the Thuringian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution .

On October 30, 1997, President of the Office for the Protection of the Constitution Helmut Roewer founded the publishing house under the code name Stephan Seeberg and became its managing director. A conspiratorial apartment in Erfurt was used for the publishing business . Considerable anomalies in the bookkeeping led to Roewer's dismissal as head of the authorities and, on July 19, 2000, to his replacement as managing director of the publishing house. He was succeeded there by a person named Christa Koch, who in turn was replaced by a shareholder resolution of March 20, 2001 by the Weimar lawyer Thomas Schmitz-Riol. Seven days later it was decided to dissolve the company; Schmitz-Riol ended the liquidation in 2003.
