history
The rule of Biberbach with its seat at Burg Markt in Markt , today a district of Biberbach in the district of Augsburg ( Bavaria ), is first handed down in the 11th century. In the 14th century, the rule with Eisenbrechtshofen , Feigenhofen , Langenreichen and Prettelshofen belonged to the Pappenheimers . In 1514, Hans Marschall von Biberbach sold the rule to Emperor Maximilian I. The Biberbach rule was soon acquired by Jakob Fugger to repay the emperor's debts. As part of the mediatization in 1806, the Biberbach rule came under the sovereignty of Bavaria.
