history
Today's church building goes back to a private church founded around the year 800. This first church, consecrated to St. Ursula of Cologne , was donated to the Lorsch monastery by the noble Brunhold . The late Gothic church tower was built around 1500. In 1610 the Reformation was introduced at the church . The nave of the church was replaced in 1853 by a classicist, simple hall construction for the requirements of a Calvinist preaching church.
The Reformed Congregation Vaassen has been part of the United Protestant Church in the Netherlands, which was created in 2004, since 2009 .
organ
The organ was built in 1821 and changed several times over the years. In 2002, the organ builder René Nijsse built a new organ in the organ case from 1821, whereby existing pipe material was reused. The instrument has registers on two manuals and a pedal . the actions are mechanical.
