The Hesketh Hubbard Art Society is currently the largest association of painters and draftsmen in London and is one of the nine societies of the Federation of British Artists (FBA), all of which are based in the Mall Galleries in London. The company was founded in 1930. Since then there have been weekly sessions for nude and portrait drawings, in which three nude models and one portrait model pose. The sessions are unmoderated and open to amateurs and professionals alike.

The society awards selected works at its annual exhibitions. The New Zealand artist Leonard Bennetts (1933–2005) was awarded the first prize for the first time . An early member was the author and artist Grace Lydia Golden (1904–1993). Colin McMillan (born 1923) was President of the Society and a member for 20 years. Ray Denton, a winner of the Charles Pears Prize from the Royal Society of Marine Artists, was a member of the Society until 1996. The current President of the Society is Simon Whittle and Vice President is David Cottingham .
