Heski-Holki polka

The Heski-Holki-Polka is a polka by Johann Strauss Sohn (op. 80). The work was first performed on July 22, 1850 in the Zum Sperl dance hall .

Remarks

The name Heski Holki (correctly it should be spelled Hezky Holki ) comes from Czech and means pretty girls . With this polka, Strauss has set a musical monument for Czech girls. The world premiere took place as part of a benefit concert.
