hessenarchaeology. Yearbook for Archeology and Paleontology in Hesse is the name of a periodical published by the State Office for Monument Preservation Hesse , Department for Archaeological and Paleontological Preservation of Monuments, which is called HesseARCHEOLOGY for short . It has been published by Konrad Theiss Verlag since 2001 .

Every year a Hesse ARCHAEOLOGY day is held in which the current yearbook and selected lectures are presented. The public and free conference is not only aimed at scientists , students and volunteers , but also at all citizens who are interested in archeology in Hesse . The specialist program is accompanied by excursions and an evening lecture on the archeology and history of the region in which this event takes place. It is tradition that the conference takes place annually at a different location in Hesse, as the regional archeology in the regions sees itself as a partner in the cultural and structural development of the state and its districts.
