Hessian reading promotion award

The Hessian Reading Promotion Prize is awarded to public libraries that demonstrate excellent performance through reading and literature projects for children and young people. The prize for full-time managed libraries is endowed with 7,500 euros, the award for voluntarily managed libraries with 2,000 euros.

The prize is awarded by the Hessian Ministry of Science and Art , the organization of the tender is the responsibility of the Hessian Reading Promotion Office , based in the Hessian Literature Forum .

Libraries apply by August 31st with a detailed project description and documentation of the projects that took place in the previous year. The projects that are the subject of the application must go beyond everyday library work.
