Heteroaryl group
A heteroaryl group is an organic radical with a heteroaromatic basic structure. Heteroaryl ... is therefore the general name for a monovalent group of atoms that is derived from heteroaromatic hydrocarbons by removing a hydrogen atom attached to the ring. Heteroaryl radicals are derived, for example, from the heteroaromatics furan , thiophene , pyrrole , thiazole , oxazole , pyridine and pyrazine . Heteroaryl residues can occur either as a fragment of a molecule (see table) or as an unstable free radical.
