Heteromormyrus pauciradiatus is an African freshwater fish from the family of the Nile Pike (Mormyridae) that is found in Angolan coastal rivers.

features

The fish species is about 10 cm long and colored dark brown and patterned with numerous small, black dots. It is moderately elongated and laterally flattened. The head profile is rounded. The front end of the head protrudes a little beyond the mouth. The head length (distance from the front end of the head to the rear edge of the gill cover) corresponds approximately to the maximum body height. The teeth are double-pointed, the eyes are very small. The dorsal and anal fin are located far behind the center of the body and are almost symmetrically opposite each other, with the anal fin being a little longer and higher and starting a little further forward. The deeply forked caudal fin is half-scaled, the ends of both lobes are rounded.

21-22 rows of scales between the lateral line and the dorsal fin, 18 between the lateral line and the ventral fins and 12 around the caudal peduncle. there has 79-82 scales the long side of the line,
