Hayworm

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The first generation of caterpillars of the crossed and single-stringed grape moth is called hayworm . The hayworm occurs in late May to late June and attacks the flower buds. The caterpillar is 10 to 12 millimeters in size in the single-rope grape moth and has a black head. The caterpillar of the crossed grape moth, on the other hand, is only eight to ten millimeters in size, with a yellow head and gray-green to green-brown in color.
