Sourworm
The second generation of caterpillars of the crossed and the single-legged grape moth is called sourworm . The sour worm occurs in late July to early August and attacks the growing, still sour berries. The caterpillar is 10 to 12 millimeters in size in the single-rope grape moth and has a black head. The caterpillar of the crossed grape moth, on the other hand, is only 8 to 10 mm in size, with a yellow head and gray-green to green-brown color. The infestation can result in major damage through gray mold rot ( Botrytis cinerea ).
