content

The play is about the problems, fears and joys of becoming a father. It starts with the actor sitting on the plane with his wife and watching a young couple struggle to get their two screaming children to calm down and be swaddled. But a short time later, the two of them are ready: the offspring are on their way. Now they are penetrating the unknown world of gynecologists, childbirth preparation and stroller tuning. After the birth (and after the break) the viewer follows the problems of bringing up children together and the stress that a relationship then has to endure. The ending takes place again on the plane, in which the actor sees a still childless couple and imagines what the two still have in front of them (“Poor pigs!”).

The only prop used by the actor is a large sitting ball; and he uses a recording device that allows him to repeat his voice in an endless loop.
