The name Hierapolis (Greek Ἱεράπολις "holy city"; also Hieropolis ) was borne by several ancient cities:

  • Hierapolis , city in Phrygia
  • Hierapolis (Pentapolis) , city of the Phrygian Pentapolis, today's Koçhisar in the Turkish province of Afyonkarahisar
  • Hierapolis Kastabala , city in Cilicia
  • Hierapolis in Cappadocia, known as Komana, now Sar
  • Hierapolis Bambyke, a place near the Euphrates, today Manbij
  • Hierapolis on Crete, another name for Lebena (because of the Asclepius sanctuary), today's Lendas

Hierapolis is part of the name of the following titular dioceses
