High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely

The High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely was from 1965 to 1974 the name of the High Sheriff in the county of Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely .

The name was formed in 1965 by the union of the individual counties of Cambridgeshire and Isle of Ely . The predecessor was the title of Sheriff of Cambridgeshire and Huntingdonshire , which has existed since 1154 . The 1974 merger with the county of Huntingdon and Peterborough created the new, larger county of Cambridgeshire . The name was subsequently changed to High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire .
