17-year-old Scott Barringer is sent to remote Mountain Horizon High School by his parents. The private facility only teaches young people who have problems with alcohol or other drugs , or who, like Scott, have been sexually abused . After initial difficulties with the boarding school regulations and the headmaster Scarbrow, Scott slowly gains trust and - something new for the loner - friends.
