Joe Lando
Joseph John "Joe" Lando (born December 9, 1961 in Prairie View , Illinois ) is an American actor .
Private life
Joe Lando grew up in Illinois with his parents Joe and Virginia and an older sister. He has Italian, Russian and Polish ancestry. In 1993 he was named to People Magazine's list of 50 Most Beautiful People. He has been married to Kirsten Barlow since 1997, with whom he has four children (* 1998, * 2001, * 2003, * 2007).
Career
While Lando was taking acting classes, he was working as a cook at a Hollywood restaurant where he was discovered by a casting agent. In 1986 he got his first engagement in the film with the role of a Coast Guard officer in Star Trek IV: Back to the Present . From 1990 to 1992 he played Jake Harrison in the soap opera Love, Lie, Passion , before starring in 1993 with the role of Byron Sully, a friend of Cheyenne , in the western series Dr. Quinn - a passionate doctor at the side of Jane Seymour .
Lando has starred in numerous television and cinema films since then, but was able to share in his success with Dr. Don't tie up Quinn . In 2000 he played a leading role in the series Higher Ground , which was discontinued after a season. In spring 2012 he took on a supporting role in the series The Secret Circle .
