Higher Minds is an American hip hop group from San Diego . In 2010 the group was nominated for the San Diego Music Awards in the category Best Hip Hop Album for their 2012 album The Burning City , which was released that same year. The lyrics deal with different topics like origin and culture ( Steve Bambino ), storytelling ( Tommy Clocksmith ) and the consumption of marijuana ( Return Of The Red I ).
