Hikmet Çelik

Hikmet Çelik is a Turkish former major general in the air force (Hava Kuvvetleri) , who was, among other things, commander of the Technical School of the Air Force (Hava Teknik Okullar Komutanlığı) between 2003 and 2005 .

Life

After attending school, Çelik completed an officer training course at the Air Force School ( Hava Harp Okulu ) and then worked in various air force units. He later graduated from the Air Force Academy (Hava Harp Akademisi) . As a Brigadier General (Tuğgeneral) he served as the commander of the 1st Air Force Base (1st Ana Jet Üs Komutanı) until 2003

After his promotion to major general (Tümgeneral) he succeeded Major General Ömer İnak as commander of the Technical School of the Air Force (Hava Teknik Okullar Komutanlığı) on August 14, 2003 and held this position until his replacement by Major General Özden Bayram Argüz on August 12 2005. In 2005 he was appointed commander of the Air Force Service School (Hava Sınıf Okulu) and also commander of the Technical Training Center (Teknik Eğitim Merkez) . On August 5, 2007, his tenure was extended by one year by the Supreme Military Council YAŞ (Yüksek Askeri Şura) before he retired on August 30, 2008.

On January 2, 2009, he became General Director of TSK Dayanışma Vakfı , the Solidarity Foundation of the Armed Forces (Türk Silahlı Kuvetleri) .
