Hilda Nickson

Hilda Hammie Nickson , nee Hilda Pressley , pseudonym Hilda Preston (born November 18, 1912 in Maltby , United Kingdom , † 1977 ) was a British author of over 60 romance and family novels . She was vice president of the Romantic Novelists' Association .

biography

Hilda Pressley was married to the Wild West novelist Arthur (Thomas) Nickson (aka Arthur Hodson, Roy Peters, John Saunders and Matt Winstan; 1902–1974).

She published her first novel as Hilda Nickson with Herbert Jenkins in the 1950s before she was signed to Mills & Boon under her married name and as Hilda Pressley. Most of her novels were republished under the Harlequin brand , sometimes with different titles. Her first novels were popular doctor-sister romances; Triangle stories often appeared in their plots; The locations were often in Italy or Spain.
