Hilda Strike
Hilda Strike , also Hilda H. Strike , after marriage Hilda Sisson (born September 1, 1910 in Montreal , † March 9, 1989 in Ottawa ) was a Canadian athlete .
Strike participated in the 1932 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles. In the 100-meter run , she won the silver medal behind Stanisława Walasiewicz from Poland (gold) and ahead of the American Wilhelmina von Bremen (bronze). In the 4 x 100 meter relay , she also won the silver medal with the Canadian team, together with her teammates Mildred Fizzell , Lillian Palmer and Mary Frizzell .
Soon after her marriage to Fred Sisson in 1935, she retired from the sport.
