The Hildegardisschule Rüdesheim, formerly the primary, secondary and secondary school in Rüdesheim is a state- integrated comprehensive school , previously a secondary school in Rüdesheim am Rhein in the Rheingau . The carrier is the Rheingau-Taunus-Kreis . According to the district council resolution, the Hildegardis School in Rüdesheim am Rhein was converted into an integrated comprehensive school at the end of the 2015/16 school year. The secondary school branch will be phased out accordingly.

The school chronicle begins with records from 1817. The exact date of foundation cannot be determined retrospectively, as no documents exist. The school was founded on the initiative of the Church.
The regional school development plan required the closure of the main school branch in Rüdesheim. This requirement was met and the secondary school education was closed. As a consequence, the primary school was also outsourced, as the Hessian School Act does not provide for primary and secondary schools. From the 2007–2008 school year to the 2014–2015 school year, the Hildegardisschule Rüdesheim was now run as a pure secondary school. Along with the Gutenberg School in Eltville, it was one of two secondary schools in the Rheingau. Since the 2015–2016 school year it has been the first IGS in the Rheingau.

About 40 teachers teach at the Hildegardis School. The school offers a sporty and a social focus. In 2011, the Hildegardis School Friends Association was founded, which is committed to the school's students and staff and, among other things, organizes the alumni activities.
