Hildigunn Eyðfinsdóttir (born April 26, 1975 in Tórshavn on the Faroe Islands ) is a Faroese theater and film actress .

She is the daughter of filmmaker Katrin Ottarsdóttir and grew up in both the Faroe Islands and Denmark . She is trained in opera singing, classical ballet, modern and African dance and speaks four languages.

She made her debut in 1989 in several supporting roles in Atlantic Rhapsody , the first Faroese feature film in history. In 1996 she was accepted into the Belgian Michael Laub 's theater group Remote Control . In the following years she toured Europe with their pieces Planet Lulu and Francula .

In 1998 she played a leading role as Rannvá in the award-winning road movie Bye Bye Bluebird , which was also written by her mother. 1999 followed a series of roles in The Wake , an eight-hour film by Mikael Kvium and Christian Lemmerz .
