Atlantic Rhapsody - 52 pictures from Tórshaven ( Faroese : Tórshavn rapsodi - 52 myndir úr Tórshavn ) by Katrin Ottarsdóttir is the first feature film from the Faroe Islands in history. It premiered in 1989 .

As the title suggests, this documentary feature film consists of 52 episodes from the capital Tórshavn , which are narrated in one another. It sensitively announces the life and striving, death and birth of the islanders.

In 1989, the film won the Nordic Film Days in Lübeck the Prize of the Nordic Film Institute .
