The emergency vehicle (HLF for short) is a tactical fire engine intended for volunteer fire brigades in Lower Austria and Styria . It is not identical to the emergency fire engine in two professional fire departments .

In 2011 these vehicles were introduced for the first time in the Lower Austria Fire Brigade Association. Shortly afterwards, Styria followed suit.

tasks

The tasks are different in the two federal states. In Lower Austria there are four different types with different equipment and tasks. Five different HLFs are planned in Styria.
