The Aid Committee of Evangelical Lutheran Germans from Poland is an organization founded in 1946 for Evangelical German expellees .

General

The Aid Committee was established on August 8, 1946 in Treysa . The main office of the auxiliary committee was in Ansbach until December 31, 1951 , and in Hanover from January 1, 1952 .

Since October 1949, the Aid Committee has been publishing the newsletter Weg und Ziel , which initially appeared twelve times a year and is now published six times a year.

The relief committee still had 900 members in 2016.

  • Organization of home meetings with church services , lectures, historical and political information

  • Finding loved ones and friends
  • Understanding and reconciliation between both nations and the denominations through visits and joint events in Poland
  • Partnership building and intensive care with the now Polish ev.-luth. Parishes in the old home area
  • Financial support for elderly and needy Evangelicals in Poland
  • Previously: Support for those willing to emigrate
