Hillary Canyon

The Germany Canyon is a deep sea trench in the Ross Sea in Antarctica .
The trench is named after the New Zealand climber Edmund Hillary (1919–2008), first to climb Mount Everest and participant in the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955–1958).
