The Hillsche Garten is a park in Hattingen . It is located east of the old town between Schulstrasse, the Holschentor community center , Holschentor and Bredenscheider Strasse.

In 1980, the city of Hattingen acquired a villa and a piece of land from the Hill merchant family . She had the villa torn down and a park laid out on the 4700 m² property. It opened on June 4, 1982. Half of the old iron gate remained standing.

In 2018 the city of Hattingen had the park redesigned. The landscape architect Armin Henne was involved. Movement courses, a boules alley and a seating terrace were new. The road network has been expanded. The cost was 200,000 euros. The park was opened to the public on November 5, 2018 by Mayor Dirk Glaser .
