Hindebach is a desert near Tübingen .

The hamlet of Hindebach was in the Himbachtal (formerly Hindebachtal) halfway between Tübingen and Unterjesingen .

In the 12th century, the Benedictine abbey of Blaubeuren established a Benedictine provostry in Hindebach to manage its extensive property in the Tübingen area. A provost was mentioned in a document in 1263 . In the 14th century, the chaplain von Schwärzloch took over the management of the monastery property until this task was transferred to the Tübingen monastery courtyard of Blaubeurens in 1412.

On May 5, 1263, Archbishop Werner von Mainz commissioned the provost of Hindebach and the dean of Hildrizhausen with the provost of Hindebach and the dean of Hildrizhausen , in recognition of the donation of the new tenth in Schönbuch by Count Rudolf von Tübingen to the church in Weil im Schönbuch, confirmed by Bishop Eberhard von Konstanz to protect their rights.

On March 1, 1283, Bishop Rudolf von Konstanz approved an exchange of tithe between the pastors of Tübingen and Lustnau , in which Hindebach was mentioned.

On April 13, 1293, Hugo von Hailfingen sold a meadow called Halvinger Brühl between Schwärzloch and Hindebach to the Bebenhausen monastery because of unbearable debts .

On January 13, 1294, the Hindebach farm was mentioned on the edge of an area that Count Palatine Eberhard von Tübingen the Scheerer sold to the Bebenhausen monastery.

On June 21, 1434 the Counts Ludwig I and Ulrich V renounced the dog meal and forest rights from the Hindebach farm, which belonged to the Blaubeuren monastery, whereas the monastery gave them grain to the Laichinger Vogtrechts.
