Hinricus de Vredelant
Hinricus de Vredelant , also Henricus Vredenlant ( bl. 1388-1418) was Council Secretary of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck .
Life
Hinricus de Vredelant, about whose origin nothing is known, received his master's degree on April 23, 1388 at the Charles University in Prague . He then first taught politics at the University of Prague. He became council secretary in Lübeck on June 16, 1396 and gave up his office at the end of April 1408, when the old council expelled from the city in the course of the civil unrest at the beginning of the 15th century and before a new council was elected in May 1408. After the return of the old council in 1416, his handwriting can be found again in the Lübeck Oberstadtbuch in May 1418 . His further fate is unknown.
