Hintertal gate
The Hintertaler Tor in Braunfels , a town in the Lahn-Dill district in Central Hesse , was built in the 15th century. The gate at house Burgweg 1 is a protected monument .
description
To protect the Hintertal, a settlement area north of the castle, a gate was built in the 15th century. It was partially abandoned when Weilburger Strasse was built in 1781. Today only a pointed arch and the beginnings of another arch are preserved. The complex is connected to the northern bulwark of the city fortifications by partially walled openings .
