Hiromasa Shikata ( Japanese 四方 宏昌 , Shikata Hiromasa ) is a Japanese developer of computer games .

Act

Immediately after graduating in 1997, Hiromasa Shikata was employed as a computer graphic artist for the Japanese video game and game console manufacturer Nintendo . He was assigned to the Nintendo Entertainment Analysis & Development department.

Shikata initially worked as a level designer on The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time , which was launched in 1998. In the next few years he worked in the same position on other Zelda games for home consoles; Moreover, he designed levels for Pikmin and acted as co- producer of spirit .

In the development of The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess Shikata worked as co-director; after that he was involved as a planner for The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks . Immediately afterwards, in 2009 Shikata started work with a very small team on another Zelda game for a handheld. Shortly afterwards, work was halted and Shikata was assigned to the Nintendo Land project as the planner . The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds , published at the end of 2013, emerged from his Zelda project, and Shikata was its director.
