Hiroshi Araki ( Japanese 荒木 博 志 , Araki Hiroshi ) is a Japanese astronomer and asteroid explorer .
He was the deputy scientific director of the MUSES-C mission. His work led to the discovery of three asteroids in 1994.
He works at the National Astronomical Observatory of the Mizusawa VLBI Observatory in Ōshū . Together with colleagues from the observatory, he created a detailed topographic map of the moon .
