Hiroshi Hoshina ( Japanese 保 科 洋 , Hoshina Hiroshi ; born January 31, 1936 in Tokyo , Japan ) is a Japanese composer and conductor .

He completed his music studies at the National University of Fine Arts and Music in Tokyo and graduated in composition . In 1987 he won the Mainichi Music Composition Contest with the phrase Aside from his composition Fu-Mon . He wrote several compulsory works for the All Japan Band Contest . His opera, which is about the atomic bombing in Hiroshima , was widely recognized worldwide. As a guest conductor and leader of workshops and clinics, he is a sought-after man.

He is also currently professor at Hyogo University of Education and Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music .
