Hiroyuki Taniguchi ( Japanese 谷口 博 之 , Taniguchi Hiroyuki ; born June 27, 1985 in Yokosuka , Kanagawa Prefecture ) is a Japanese football player .

career

Taniguchi started playing football during elementary school where he played for Kamoi SC. From middle school he played for the youth teams of the first division club Yokohama F. Marinos . After graduating from school, however, he was signed by the second division club Kawasaki Frontale in 2004, with whom he was promoted a year later. He then moved to the Marinos in 2011 and, after a brief stint at Kashiwa Reysol in 2013, joined Sagan Tosu in 2014 .

With the Japanese national team , he qualified for the 2008 Summer Olympics .
