The Historical Museum in Shkodra

The Historical Museum ( Albanian  Muzeu Historik ) of the northern Albanian city ​​of Shkodra is housed in an old merchant's house in Ottoman style , which is named after Oso Kuka .

The typical town house of its time, built in 1815 for the wealthy merchant and freedom fighter Osa Kuka , is hidden behind a high wall on the street Rruga Osa Kuka 12 , which is named after him . The building has been completely restored.

Archaeological excavation finds from the Illyrian (350 BC) and Roman times are presented on the ground floor . Even artifacts from early Christian era are on display. On the upper floor, visitors will find exhibits from everyday life over the past centuries. There are also numerous stone finds from Roman and Venetian times in the garden .
