Hitec ( proper spelling hitec ) is a former science TV show that was broadcast weekly on 3sat until 2014 . The first broadcast was broadcast in 1991. Hitec deals, for example, with future and science issues, reports on infrastructure, research, medicine and the like. a.

Content orientation

The 30-minute documentaries take up topics from the fields of science, medicine and technology. Current topics are often dealt with that are also discussed in public. The documentation is often embedded in 3sat theme weeks. Abstracts can often be seen as contributions in the program nano .

history

Hitec's first broadcast was broadcast in 1991. "A sophisticated series for viewers interested in technology" should be created on 3sat. In 1999 hitec magazine was included in the nano show . Until then, Stefan Schulze-Hausmann was the moderator of the show. In 1999 the magazine became a documentary series. The program was broadcast weekly on Mondays at 9:30 p.m. until January 2012 and the rerun on Sundays at 4:00 p.m. Hitec's last first broadcasts were in January 2012. Since then, the show has only been broadcast as a repeat on Sundays at 3:30 p.m., this break was interrupted with only two new episodes in September 2012 and May 2013. Since October 2013, new episodes have been broadcast regularly on the Sunday slot.

Awards

Numerous programs and authors of the program have been awarded various prizes. Science journalist John A. Kantara was named for his hitec documentary films Regional instead of Global , which were broadcast on 3sat in 2011, about technological innovations leading to the renaissance of regional production, Space Shuttle: End of an Era about the beginning of a technological race after the end of the legendary Space Shuttle as well Energizing human being awarded the Georg von Holtzbrinck Prize for Science Journalism in the "Electronic Media" category.
