Map with all coordinates: The Hitratunnel is a single-tube road tunnel between Hemnskjel and Jøsnøya in the municipality of Hitra , Trøndelag province . The tunnel in the course of Fylkesvei 714 is 5645 m long and lies at its deepest point approx. 265 m below the sea surface. With other structures, the tunnel replaced the Sunde – Hemnskjel – Sandstad ferry connection.
