Hjalmar Mellander
Hjalmar Mellander ( Hjalmar Stefanus Mellander ; born December 14, 1880 in Årstad , Falkenberg municipality , † October 3, 1919 on the Isle of Man ) was a Swedish athlete .
He was Olympic champion in the pentathlon at the Olympic Intermediate Games in Athens in 1906 . He won with 24 points (at that time the points for placements in the individual disciplines were added).
In the long jump he was fourth in 1906 with 6.585 meters. He was also fourth in the javelin throw with 44.30 meters.
