Hocherbalm

The Hocherbalm is an alpine pasture in the Bacherwinkel district of the Ruhpolding community .

A large alpine building in the Hocherbalm is under monument protection and is entered in the Bavarian monument list under the number D-1-89-140-30 .

Building description

The large alpine pasture building of the Hocherbalm has a log upper floor and a Salzburg half- hipped roof and is marked with the year 1875 on the ridge purlin . The core of the building is said to date from 1624.

history

The owner states that the alpine building dates from the 16th century, but refers to a holy water stone marked with the year 1624 and walled in in the house , which points to the 17th century.

After the last change of ownership in 2008, extensive renovation measures were carried out in 2018 and the dairy was reactivated.

Todays use

The Hocherbalm is bumped and served.

location

The Hocherbalm is located northeast of the Hochfelln at an altitude of 1025  m above sea level. NN and can be reached on foot from a hiking car park or the middle station of the Hochfellnbahn in 15 to 20 minutes.
