The cross was built in 1863. It was entered under number N 014 on October 9, 1995 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

The high cross stands in a small avenue formed by linden trees in the Hardt cemetery, which opened in 1863.

architecture

It is a small cross on a high, polygonal base. Base plate made of basalt lava, above it an almost square base leading into a polygonal, pillar-like middle section with flat niches and neo-Gothic gable position . This serves as the basis for the high shaft cross with body and inscription panel . Floral decorations are set on the spandrels between the cross trunk and crossbar.
