The Hochreiter group of companies (founded in 1958) is an Austrian group consisting of companies in the food industry (Hochreiter, Condeli, Kastner and Yummhy) and health companies (Vortuna and Am Kogl).

In 2019, the group of companies employs 600 people, exports to 20 countries worldwide and generates annual sales of € 145 million. The company is based in Bad Leonfelden . Company locations are in Reichenthal , Perg and St. Georgen im Attergau .

Lt. According to its own information, Hochreiter is the only Austrian food company with USA approval and has won several awards for innovative products.

history

In 1992, the owner of the company, Wolfgang Hochreiter, took over his parents' butcher's shop and restaurant in Bad Leonfelden. With the new construction of the company building, the company area was expanded to 4000 square meters, combined with a specialization in ham, salami and cooked sausage products in packaged form. In 2004 the operating area was increased by a further 6,000 square meters and the export radius expanded to seven European countries. In 2007, the chemical laboratory was accredited by the state and since 2008 the company has been approved for exports to the USA. Hochreiter has had one of the most modern salami production facilities in Europe since 2011. In 2013 a meat standardization center and a fully automated deep-freeze warehouse were opened in Reichenthal. In 2014, Hochreiter invested in a cutting center with clean room technology and in 2015 a new high-bay warehouse and a second lasagne line went into operation. In addition, the production of roast products began. In 2016, the new construction and renovation of the former Mannerwerk in Perg began.

Condeli is a company based in Reichenthal and produces convenience food ( lasagne , closed toasts and dumplings ) and sweet minis.

Yummhy Austria GmbH

The company, headquartered in Perg, invested € 12 million in the former site of Manner AG in 2016 for the renovation and acquisition of new equipment and produces snacks there. In 2019, the site will employ 70 people who generate 10 million snacks annually and generate sales of € 12 million. 95% of the production is intended for export.

Kastner confectionery

The Kastner confectionery in Bad Leonfelden has been part of the Hochreiter group since 2009.

Health companies Vortuna and Am Kogl

In 2018, the Hochreiter group of companies reopened the Kurhotel Bad Leonfelden, which was fundamentally renovated for € 22 million, and is expected to achieve around 55,000 overnight stays per year. Also in 2018 in St. Georgen am Attergau, another health company of the group was opened with the orthopedic health center Am Kogl. Around € 20 million was invested. 65,000 to 70,000 overnight stays are expected per year.
