Hofmark Aham

The Hofmark Aham was a closed Hofmark based at Schloss Aham in Aham , a municipality in the Upper Bavarian district of Landshut .

Maria Anna Josepha Susanna von Maxlrain († December 22, 1756) married Ferdinand Freiherr von Lerchenfeld († July 13, 1776) and so Aham came to the Barons of Lerchenfeld .

On October 8, 1817, Josef Freiherr von Lerchenfeld sold the Hofmark Aham to the Electress Maria Leopoldine of Austria-Este . Then the Hofmark passed into the possession of the knight von Mayer. In 1833 the Hofmark Aham was acquired by the former Minister Maximilian Joseph Graf von Montgelas . After his death in 1838, he was buried in the crypt of the castle chapel.
